Angola has gone through rapid economical growth in recent years, being the fastest growing economy on Africas, following the civil war that ravaged the country for 27 years!

With massive international backing to help rebuild the infrastructure that has suffered enormously, Angols is on the way to becoming an independent, democratic power in Africa.

Angola achieved independence in 1975 following Portuguese rule. It was primarily this independence that took Angola into the civil war with a power struggle between the two main parties in the country. The MPLA led the call for independence and has controlled the government ever since.
